Abstract:
Objective To understand the anxiety,depression and quality of life of hospitalized schizophrenic patients with diabetes,and to explore its associated factors.Methods A total of 206 hospitalized schizophrenic patients with diabetes were assessed with diabetes-specific quality of life scale(DSQL),self rating anxiety scale (SAS),and self-rating depression scale (SDS).Results The degree of anxiety and depression were 11.2% and 30.1%;the influence factors of the quality of life are disease duration,complications and co-mobidities.Duration of more than 10 years,four or more complications were associated with anxiety and depression in patients with a significant difference in the quality of life(P<.05);Age,complication,duration and other factors were the positive-related factors of anxiety and depression(r = 0.20 ～0.55,P<.01);And the cultural,economic and income were the negatively related factors of anxiety and depression(r = - 0.12 ～ - 0.26,P<.01).Conclusions Complications of diabetes accompanied by anxiety,depression are the main factors influencing patient' s quality of life.Preventing and controlling the complications of diabetes and improving the mood are the key factors for improving the quality of life of mental patients.
