Abstract: Objective To assess and explore the quality of life and related factors in a total of 101 outpatient adults with epilepsy.Methods Eligible outpatient epilepsy in certain hospital was evaluated by the scale of Quality of life in epilepsy-31 (Chinese version).Results The total score of quality of life was low (54.61 ± 17.13).The scores of quality of life in each item were as follows:seizure worry (42.33 ±26.32);overall quality of life (55.15 ± 16.41) ;emotional well-being (60.23 ± 19.67);cognitive function (54.31 ±22.01);t energy/fatigue (58.61 ± 19.31);medication effects (40.04 ± 26.11);social function (50.31 ±26.41);The quality of life of patients with different education background and seizure type were different significantly(P<.05).Conclusions The quality of life in outpatient adults with epilepsy is bad.Education background and seizure type affect the quality of life with epilepsy.
