Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of diabetic health education on the incidence of macrosomia among pregnant women with glucose tolerance impaired. Methods Twenty-eight pregnant women with glucose tolerance impaired were recruited and performed diabetic health education and management. The newborns body weight was recorded. Then analyzed the incidence of macrosomia and compared with previous situation. Results The incidence of macrosomia significantly decreased after being performed diabetic health education. Conclusions Effective education about diabetes could reduce incidence of macrosomia for pregnant women with glucose tolerance impaired.
