Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on anxiety in ICU patients. Methods A total of 100 cases of ICU patients were divided into two groups randomly. Zung self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and St. Mary' s hospital sleep questionnaire (SMH) measurements were used in first and fifth day. In control group, conventional nursing care was given. And in intervention group, nursing intervention methods were given, including nursing information, social support and the promotion of patients with good sleep. Results Compared with the average level, the anxiety in ICU patients was significant (P <0. 01). Both the Zung self-rating anxiety scale ( SAS) and St. Mary' s hospital sleep questionnaire (SMH) scores between the two groups were significant (P <0. 01). Conclusions The use of nursing interventions can efficiently improve the sleep and relieve anxiety in ICU patients. It is worth to generalizing and applying.
