Abstract:
Objective To explore the method of observation and nursing of cerebral salt wasting syndrome (CSWS) among patients with severe craniocerebral trauma. Methods The data of 18 severe craniocerebral injury cases with CSWS were analyzed retrospectively, patient consciousness changes were observed, blood sodium, urinary sodium, urine volume and urine specific gravity were monitored, and nursing countermeasures were taken out. Results After 2 weeks of fluid infusion, the index, such as blood sodium, urinary sodium, urine volume and urine specific gravity, returned to normal, life signs showed stability, the state of consciousness recovered. Conclusions Through strict observation on patient' s state of consciousness, monitoring blood sodium, urinary sodium, urine volume and urine specific gravity, it is helpful for nurses to improve their understanding of CSWS, assist early diagnosis and treatment, decrease nursing complications and strengthen rescue success.
