Abstract:
Objective To investigate the postoperative nursing of an aged patients with femoral neck fracture. Methods The clinical information and nursing course for a 100-year-old patient was analyzed. According to his physiological and psychological subjects, appropriate measures were used to prevent and control the complication. The mental nursing was paid more attention at the same time. Results After 7 days of comprehensive and careful preoperative treatments and nursing, the patient safely past the perioperative period without any complication. The wound healed up with class-A, and the suture was removed after 12 days. The patient discharged from the hospital at the expected time. Conclusions The surgical risks are greater for the aged patients. Appropriate nursing measures in the perioperative period should be used according to the physiological and psychological features of the aged patients, which was of great importance to improve the surgical outcome and to reduce the complication rate and mortality.
