Abstract:
Objective To study the individual rehabilitation nursing for patients with minimally conscious state (MCS). Methods The individual rehabilitation nursing measures were adopted in five cases of the minimally conscious state patients. The stimulus of vision, sense of hearing, olfactory sense and sense of taste, the stimus of voicing were taken for awakening. Results The total score of patients' vegetative state improved by 6.6 (P <0.05). The evaluation for patients also showed significantly different in terms of executing order, body movement, ocular movement, semiment response (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). Complications in respect of lung and uropoiesis infection, malnutrition and ulcer were prevented. Conclusions The high quality of individual nursing measures are beneficial for the minimally conscious state patients.
