Abstract:
Objective To learn the time of different operation between different department, and provide evidence for administrators in operating room. Methods The time spent in 14 kinds of operations were measured from gynecology, hepatobiliary, orthopedics , otorhinolaryngology , neuresurgical department. Results The time from preparing to starting of anesthesia and from ending the operation to departing from the operation room showed no significantly different in diverse operations, while the time between starting of anesthesia and starting of operation and between starting and ending of operation showed significantly different in various operations. Conclusions Administrators in operating room should coordinate the operative doctors, anaesthesia doctors and nurses to improve the availability of operation room.
