Abstract:
Objective To summarize the perioperative nursing methods of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD). Methods The perioperative nursing of 28 patients undergoing ESD were summarized including four stages of pre-operative evaluation and psychological care, nursing monitoring during operation, postoperive prevention of complications, and nursing follow-up. Results In 28 patients, 29 lesions were resected. Among which 22 lesions were completely resected, 6 resected by pieces and 1 partially resected. The total en bloc resection rate was 75.9%. 20 cases were continuously followed up and no residual pathologic changes and no recurrence was found. Conclusions ESD is a useful technique for the treatment of early stage cancer and precancerous lesions in the gut which can resected the larger lesions. However, due to the difficulty and complexity of this technique, perioperative nursing plays an important role.
