Abstract:
0bjective To explore the influence of comprehensive dietary nursing on the postoperative nutrition status of esophageal cancer patients,and to improve the patients’nutrition condition.Methods A total of 64 cases with moderate esophageal cancer who had undergone the esophageal radical operation were divided into the experiment group (n=32) and the control group(n=32) at random.The patients in the experiment group were given the dietary care.The patients of the control group only received the routine dietary care.The assessment indexes of nutritional status about body weight,serum albumin,transferring protein,and peripheral blood lymphocyte were measured at the time of discharge,1,5 and 8 months of post-discharge,respectively.Results Significant differences in the above four indexes were found between the experiment group and the control group 5 and 8 months after the operation (P<0.05).Conclusions The comprehensive dietary nursing care is safe and feasible.It can improve the postoperative nutritional status and promote the recovery in patients with esophageal cancer.
