Abstract:
Objective To explore the relationship between job stressors and mental health of pre-hospital first aid nurses. Methods Job stressors, mental health and their relationship were investigated among the pre-hospital first aid nurses in Beijing Emergency Medical Center using a questionnaire method. Results The pre-hospital first aid nurses had high job stress. There was a significantly positive correlation between some factors of job stressors and mental health of pre-hospital nurses (r=0.40, P<0.01). The difference had a significantly statistical meaning. Conclusions Stressors are the important factors that influencing the mental health level of pre-hospital first aid nurses. Effective management strategies should be implemented to reduce the job stress of pre-hospital nurses and protect their mental health.
