Abstract:
Objective To summarize the changing regularity of the blood sugar level in elderly patients during the perioperative period. Methods We retrospectively gathered the changing of blood sugar level in 156 patients who suffered from an operation on abdominal region in our ward recently. Results The blood sugar level was obviously increased after the operation. especially the day and the first day after the operation. Conclusions The blood sugar monitoring is very important in elderly patients during the perioperative period. To grasp the changing regularity and to use the insulin reasonably in the patients can keep the blood sugar level stable and make the patients pass the perioperative period smoothly.
