Abstract:
Objective Research on the effect of psychological nursing on the patients with leucopenia treated with acupoint injection. Methods 90 malignant tumor patients with leucopenia treated with acupoint injection from October of 2003 to October of 2005 were randomized into two groups: the experiment group of 50 cases who were treated with psychological nursing before acupoint injection and the control group of 40 cases without psychological nursing. The therapeutic effect, the changes of blood pressure, the heart rate before injection and the incidence of side effect after injection were compared between the two groups. Results There is no significant difference between the two groups on therapeutic effect (P>0.05). Systolic BP before injection and HR fluctuation of the experiment group are lower than the control group. Incidence of side effect of the experiment group is also less than the control group ( P < 0. 01 ) by chi-square test and there is significant deference. Conclusions Psychological nursing before acupoint injection can effectively decrease and alleviate patients' stress reaction, which is beneficial to patients' physical and psychological health.
