Abstract: Objective To investigate the happiness index and social support of clinical nurses. Methods Inquiry was performed in 60 clinical nurses by Happiness Index scale and Social Support Scale. Results Happiness Index of married and military nurses were higher than that of unmarried and employed nurses. Married nurses gained more social support, objective support and subjective support than unmarried nurses did. Married nurses were also good at making use of support. Conclusions Efforts for enhancing the status of professional nurses in the society and family will improve the nurses' ability of subjective use of the society support.
