Abstract:
Objective To study effect of cluster intervention in reducing ectopic rate of peripherally inserted central venous catheter(PICC) in department of neurosurgery.Methods A total of 100 patients in our hospital were selected as research objects,and were randomly divided into two groups by random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing intervention,and the observation group was given cluster intervention,ectopic catheter,catheter indwelling time,hospitalization time,comfort score,life quality score,nursing satisfaction of two groups were compared.Results The observation group had lower catheter ectopic rate (P ＜ 0.05),longer catheter indwelling time (P ＜ 0.05),and shorter hospitalization time than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Comfort scores,life quality scores were higher than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Nursing satisfaction of observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (96％ vs.82％,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Cluster nursing intervention can effectively reduce ectopic catheter,shorten hospital stay,improve comfort and quality of life,and enhance nursing more satisfaction.
