Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of perioperative health care education for lung cancer patients with pneumonectomy by 5W1H.Methods Seventy-two patients underwent pneumoctomy in our department were randomly assigned into experimental group and control group.The patients in control group were received routine health care education, and those in the experimental group received health care education according to 5W1H method.All patients were evaluated by SAS scale one day before surgery, and pain were then assessed by Prince-Henry Assessment after 48 h of operation.Satisfaction for health care education was assessed by health education investigation before discharge.Results Anxiety status in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The number of pain intensity under grade Ⅲ was significantly more than that in the experimental group (P<0.05), the patients''satisfaction on health care education was higher than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Perioperative health education can significantly reduce patients'' anxiety and help patients to improve their self-management and satisfaction toward health education.
