Abstract:
Prostheses are often used to correct mental retraction or small mental deformity. But there are some complications of chin augmentation, which damage the postoperative effect. The common complications such as poor shape, displacement and infection after chin augmentation have been widely reported and studied in clinical practice. However, the phenomenon of bone resorbing after chin augmentation is rarely studied and reported. This article reviews the phenomenon of bone resorption and its possible etiology.
