Abstract: Hair loss is a condition that affects both gender worldwide. Current treatment mainly includes hair transplantation and medications. Platelet-rich plasma(PRP) is the concentrates of autologous platelet and plasma. Clinical researches and early animal model experiments indicate therapeutic advantages of PRP in the treatments of hair loss. This article is aimed to introduce the progress of PRP in the treatment for hair loss (including androgen alopecia, alopecia aerate, and hair transplantation), and summarize the latest researches and result in the PRP therapy in the field of hair loss treatments.
