Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of polidocanol in the treatment of pyogenic granuloma. Methods:The clinical data of 32 patients treated by polidocanol were retrospectively analyzed from January 2018 to January 2019. The curative effect was classified as cure, improvement and ineffectiveness.According to the scar condition, they were classified as 0, + , + + , and + + + .Results:In this study, 32 patients with pyogenic granuloma were treated by polidocanol. The lesions disappeared after one injection in 23 patients and two injections in 5 patients. In 4 cases, the diameter of the lesion was reduced to less than 2 mm after one injection, and then the lesions disappeared after 1 time of 595 nm pulsed fuel laser treatment. The cure rate and effective rate of injection therapy were 87.5%(28/32) and 100%(32/32), respectively. Only 3 cases of scar were rated as + . No side effect was observed. There was no recurrence in 12 months follow-up.Conclusions:The method of polidocanol local injection in pyogenic granuloma is an effective and safe treatment, and it is worth popularizing and applying.
