Abstract:
Objective To analyse the difference of IgG expressions between fetal and adult rabbit skin in wound healing for exploring the mechanisms of fetal-type and adult-type wound healing. Methods Based on a fetal rabbit wound healing model, we extracted IgG from normal and wounded tissues using the homogenization method and determined its value using ELISA technique in the comparative study. Results We found that the variation of IgG showed a tendency of elevation with the prolonging of pregnancy in normal rabbits(23-28 days gestation);the IgG value in adult rabbits was much higher than that of the fetuses(P<0.01);IgG value in wounded fetuses was higher(P<0.01) than that of corresponding normal fetuses during the first two days after wound creation, and there were no differences between wounded fetuses at different gestation times. From the 2nd day of wound creation, IgG value in wounded adults was much higher than the normal(P<0.01) and had an obvious tendency of elevation. All the facts suggested that the immunological system became mature with the development of the fetus. Despite the lower IgG levels in the fetus,it also manifested some immunological reactions to injury whereas the adult took intense reactions with higher IgG value and an obvious tendency of elevation. Conclsion The difference of immunoreaction is one of the main reasons of the fetal-type and adult-type wound healin
