Abstract:
INK4a/ARF locus encodes at least two products, P16INK4a and P19ARF, which are very important in controlling cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis. Many human cancers have been found to be highly related to the mutations at this locus. Here is a review of its structure, function and role in tumor suppression.
