Abstract: Blood oxygen saturation is one of the important index of clinical care. In this paper, a pulse oximetry method based on android smartphone was proposed, by which oxygen saturation could be monitored anywhere. The non-intrusive reflective optical measuring principle was used in the new method. After the sampled images were analyzed and processed, value of blood oxygen saturation was calculated in real time. The experimental results show that the method has high reliability and consistency.
