Abstract:
Cases of breast skin thinning and lesion after augmentation mammoplasty by the injection of artificial filler were rarely reported. They are extremely difficult to treat with conventional methods, which will damage the blood supply and lay the risk of the necrosis of the nipple-areola complex (NAC) and the thin area of the skin. This paper introduces 2 cases of breast skin thinning and lesion after augmentation mammoplasty by the injection of unknown artificial filler in Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College in July and Novemeber 2021 respectively. With the water-jet force system assisted surgery, the artificial filler scattered in the subcutaneous superficial and partial deeper layers was effectively removed with the impact of water flow, while avoiding the compromise of blood supply and necrosis to the NAC and the breast skin.
