Abstract:
Rhinoplasty is becoming increasingly more common, and the study of nasal anatomy is more important among plastic surgeons in many countries. There are significant variations in nasal anatomy in different races and ethnicities. A correct understanding and evaluation of the characteristics of nasal anatomy in each ethnic group plays an important role in optimizing the surgical result and decreasing the postoperative complications. This review focuses on the differences in nasal anatomy between Eastern and Western populations, and analysis them in anatomical layer and nasal subunit.
