Review: the perinatal risk factors for infantile hemangioma

Abstract: Infantile hemangioma is a benign tumor which develops shortly after birth. An early diagnosis and treatment should be performed for baby with facial hemangioma to avoid mental burden and family burden in the future. Therefore early prevention of the diseaseisvery important. In this review, we summarized the prenatal risk factors in the recent articles. Among those, the main factors included history of miscarriage, artificial insemination, chorionic villus sampling, vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy, placental abnormalities, progesterone use during pregnancy, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, smoking during pregnancy, alcohol consumption. It may be helpful for clinical or basic research in the future.
