Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the brachial‐ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV) in patients with H‐type hypertension . Methods:The clinical data of patients with H‐type hypertension(n= 83) ,common patients with hypertension(n= 84) and normal controls(n= 80) ,from 2010 to 2013 ,were retrospectively analyzed .The level of plasma homocysteine(Hcy) was detected .The baPWV was measured by automatic arteriosclerosis assay instrument .Results:The baPWV was higher in both the H‐type hypertension group and the common hypertension group than that in the normal control group ( P< 0 .05 ) . Compared with the common hypertension group ,the baPWV was significantly higher in the H‐type hypertension group(P<0 .05) .The baPWV was positively correlated with the systolic blood pressure(SBP) ,the diastolic blood pressure(DBP) or the level of Hcy(r=0 .566 ,0 .626 ,0 .454 ,P< 0 .01) .Multivariate stepwise regressive analysis showed that SBP ,DBP and Hcy were independent risk factors of baPWV(β=0 .258 ,0 .424 ,0 .252 ,P<0 .05 or 0 .01) .Conclusion:The level of plasma Hcy is correlated with arteriosclerosis in patients with hypertension .
