Abstract:
Objective:To explore the molybdenum target X-ray manifestations of intracystic papillary carcinoma(IPC),so as to improve diagnostic quality for the disease. Methods:The molybdenum target X-ray manifestations of 9 cases of IPC which were diagnosed by pathological examination, were analyzed retrospectively. Results:The shape of IPC masses appeared to be round in 5 cases and irregular in 4 cases. The margin of masses was smooth in 6 cases and shallow lobulate in 3 cases. The mass densi-ty was higher than surrounding normal tissues in 7 cases, while there was no difference in other 2 cases.Calcification was found in 3 cases with calcified granules in different sizes and no more than 10 in numbering, while no calcification was found in the rest 6 cases. Conclusions:IPC is observed as round, high dense, less aggregated calcified masses with smooth margin and with-out blurry spikes in most cases. But it should be differentiated from mammary cyst and mammary fibroadenoma.
