Abstract:
Objective:To explore the diagnosis and treatment of penile metastatic carcinoma.Methods:The diagnosis,clinical characteristics,pathological features,treatments and prognosis of 6 patients with metastatic carcinoma,were analyzed and the related literature were reviewed.Results:Among the 6 cases of penile metastatic carcinoma,there were two cases whose carci-noma originated from lung,one case of whom was rare pulmonary epithelioid hemangioendothelioma;two cases originated from bladder;one case originated from liver;one case originatd from prostate.There were 5 cases featured as penile nodules and 3 cases of them were combined with pain,and one case of them was combined with acute urinary retention.One case of featured priapism.All the patients received surgical resection,chemotherapy and radiotherapy.One patient survived and the other five pa-tients died.Conclusions:Penile metastatic carcinoma is very rare and its prognosis is extremely poor.Surgical resection combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy or endocrine therapy may improve symptoms,but can not prolong the survival period of pa-tients.
