Abstract:
Objective:Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)is a polypeptide growth factor with effects on the cell proliferation, motility, and morphogenesis. The purpose of this research was to explore the effect of HGF on the proliferation of human gas-tric cancer cell line AGS.Methods:Human gastric cancer cell line AGS was cultured in vitro.AGS cells were treated with 25, 50 ,75 and 100ng/mL of HGF for 24 h,48 h and 72 h,respectively.Cell proliferation was measured by CCK-8 assay.Results:CCK-8 assay result showed that compared with the control, all of the four concentrations of HGF could increase the prolifera-tion of AGS cells. With the increase of HGF concentration and treating time, the proliferation activity of AGS cells was the up-ward trend in a dose-and time-dependent manner (t=3.89,5.28,9.73,11.00,P <0.01).Conclusions:HGF can significant-ly promote the proliferation of human gastric cancer AGS cells.
