Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the application of curved cutter stapler(Contour TM)in anus protective operation for patients with low rectal carcinoma.Mathods One hundred and twenty-one cases were randomly divided into two groups，using Contour and TLH30 stapler respectively in anusprotective operation for low rectal carcinoma.The anus protection rate，the leakage rate，anastomotic bleeding rate，the frequency of defecation of post-operation and the wound infection rate in two groups were compared. Result There were no significant differences between two groups in anastomotic leakage rate， anastomotic bleeding rate and frequency of defecation of post-operation， whereas the anus protection rate was higher and the wound infection rate was lower in the Contour group as compared to the TLH30 stapler group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Application of Contour in the anusprotective operation of low rectal carcinoma is reliable and safe，and can increase the anus protection rate of fat and male patients and decrease the wound infection rate.
