Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of high-quality nursing on blood lipid and body mass index(BMI) in patients with chronic schizophrenia with metabolic syndrome (MS).Methods A total of 60 chronic schizophrenia cases combined with MS in our hospital were randomly divided into study group and control group.The control group was given routine nursing,while the study group was additional given high-quality nursing.Blood lipid and BMI were investigated at enrollment and 6 months after intervention.Results At 6 months after intervention,BMI,triglyceride (TG),high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) levels in the study group were improved significantly than that at enrollment and the control group (P ＜0.01 or P ＜0.05),but there was no significant difference in the indexes in the control group and at enrollment (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion High-quality nursing can improve the blood lipid and body mass index in patients with chronic schizophrenia with MS,and reduce the risk factors of MS.
