Abstract:
OBJECTIVE To observe the therapeutic effects of acupoint pressing gymnastics in treating primary hypertension of abundant phlegm-dampness syndrome.METHODS 74 cases with primary grade 1 hypertension were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with the application of statistical software. After the whole process of follow-up visit, only 70 cases were incorporated into the study.35 cases in the control group were given conventional antihypertensive drugs and health guidance.Based on which, the other 35 cases in the treatment group were further given acupoint pressing gymnastics. Changes of the blood pressure, heart rate, blood lipid and syndrome integral scores of the two groups before and after treat-ment were observed to evaluate the therapeutic effects.RESULTS There existed statistic differences between the treatment group and the control group in systolic blood pressure, heart rate, early morning blood pressure peak and blood lipid(including TG,TC,HDLC and LDLC),TCM syndrome integral scores, symptom scores of dizziness, headache, head with binding sen-sation and insomnia(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Acupoint pressing gymnastics is conductive to the reduction of systolic pres-sure of patients with hypertension of abundant phlegm-dampness syndrome and to the improvement of such symptoms as heart rate, early morning blood pressure peak, blood lipid, dizziness, headache, head with binding sensation and insomnia.
