Abstract:
Objective To investigate the impact of the Kano model on nursing quality and satisfaction of pediatrics department.Methods The pediatric nursing service needs questionnaire was designed according to the Kano model to improve the nursing processes.The satisfaction before and after pediatric nursing were compared.Results The Kano model analysis revealed essential at-tribute was 10 entries in pediatric acute care services,desired attribute was 9 entries,and attractive attributewas 6 entries .The total score of quality of nursing before nursing service was (1 0 .2 3 ± 1.08),satisfaction rate was 57.81%,nursing disputes incidence was 5.62%,patient complaint rate was 1 1 .8 7 % .Afternursingimprovement ,thetotalscoreofqualityofnursingwas (20 .4 5 ± 2.03),satisfaction rate was 95.87%,nursing disputes incidence was 0.63%,patient complaint rate was 1.59%,the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Kano model can effectively filter out pediatric nursing needs of children and their families,provide guidance to improve pediatric emergency care processes,improve quality of care and family satisfaction,and re-duce nurse-patient disputes.
