Abstract:
Pathogenic microorganism is the research object and material basis of infectious disease prevention, scientific research, teaching, food, medicine and biological products production, entry exit inspection and quarantine, and is an important strategic resource directly related to national biosafety. It is related to the national biosafety and core interests to carry out work in the preservation of pathogenic microorganism strains and improve the self-protection ability of pathogenic microorganism resources in China. The core of pathogen strains preservation lies in quality and the basis lies in standards. Defining and evaluating the national standard strains of pathogen species are an important basic work in the field of pathogen strains preservation. This paper reviews the development of microbial standard strains, to discuss the basic principles, types and technical requirements of national standard strains for the evaluation of pathogenic microorganisms, so as to improve the quality and management level of pathogenic microorganisms and ensure the national biosafety.
