Abstract:
Objective To explore the action of immune function in Enterovirus Encephalitis (EVE) children by detecting the T cell activation and cell factors. Methods 24 infant patients with EVE hospitalized in the wards of department of neurology of the Children' s Hospital Affiliated to Medical School of Zhejiang University from June 2014 to July 2015 were selected as the experimental group,14 of the 24 patients were detected for the T cell activation. While another 49 healthy infants accepting physical check in the same period were selected as the control group.Flow cytometry was adopted to detect the peripheral blood CD25 +/CD3 + CD4 +,CD69 +/CD3 + CD4 +,HLA-DR +/CD3 + CD4 +,CD25 +/CD3 + CD8 +,CD69 +/CD3 + CD8 +,HLA-DR +/CD3 + CD8 +,and IL-2,IL-4,IL-6,IL-10,TNF-α,IFN-γ levels of the two groups. Results The peripheral blood CD69/CD3 + CD4 +、CD69/CD3 + CD8 + expression levels (1.193% ± 2.849%,0.696% ± 1.242%) of the experiment group were lower than those of the control group (Z =-2.722,P=0.006;Z=-3.321,P=0.001).The expression level of the peripheral blood IL-2 (3.342 ± 1.089 pg/ml) was lower than that of the control group(Z =-2.722,P =0.019);while the expression of IL-6 and TNF-α (123.046 ± 355.349;3.367 ± 1.717pg/ml) were significantly higher than the control group (Z =-3.471,P =0.001;Z =-4.803,P < 0.001) . Conclusion There is certain degree of immune dysfunction in EVE patients,T cell activation subgroup and the cell factors may participate in the morbidity progress of EVE.
