Abstract:
Objective To analyze the status of basic research funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) in the field of AIDS,and put forward thinking about its developing tendency.Methods The projects in the field of AIDS funded by NSFC during 2010 to 2014 were statistically analyzed regarding the subordinate branches,distribution of the applicants and supporting institutions,grants and trends.Results The average number of the funded grants in this field is about 80 and the funding rate is 20.47%,this field involved multidisciplinary,the proportion ofmajor projects was lower than other fields,the paticipation from the comprehensive universities need to be further improved.Conclusions The fundamental research in this field has achieved significant progress,especially in the field of drug,epidemiology and mathematical model,so far.The international communication and cooperation are active.However the mechanistic research need to be deepened and the major breakthrough made by Chinese scientists is still few so far.
