Abstract:
Objective To study the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Xintong Changluo Shuli Quzhuo therapy (hereinafter called “TCM”)against rats with focal segmental glomerular sclerosis in rats. Methods The rat model of focal segmental glomerular sclerosis was induced by tail intravenous injection of azithromycin twice.According to their weight,all rats were divided into normal group,model group, benazepril group and TCMgroup (n =15 each).At the end of 9 th week after modeling,the correspond-ing drugs were administered orally.Then at the 4th week and at the 8 th week after treatment,24 h urine protein,serum albumin,creatinine and urea nitrogen levels were measured and morphological changes were observed under light microscope and electron microscope.Results Compared with model group, each index of TCM group had significant differences,and pathological observation showed that the glo-merular injury in TCMgroup was slighter than that in the model group.Conclusion Xintong Changluo Shuli Quzhuo therapy can obviously protect the renal function of rats,significantly reduce extracellular matrix deposition and glomerular sclerosis,delay the progress of chronic kidney disease.
