Abstract:
Objective To explore the epidemiology of human metapneumovirus at Suzhou area Methods 17 827 nasopharynx secretion specimens of children with respiratory tract infection cases were collected in six years past,human metapneumovirus RNA were detected by real time RT-PCR,retrospective analysis the epidemiology of human metapneumovirus in Suzhou area.Results Among all nasopharynx secretion specimens 1184 (6.44％) cases were positive for human metapmeumovirus,the positive rate of male and female children were 6.79％ and 6.38％ repectively.Conclusion There is no significant difference in the infection rate between the boys and girls,the preschool children had higher rate than schoolage children.
