Abstract:
Objective To modify the differentiation method of TCL for Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni multiflori)and its decoction pieces in Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China(Edition 2005)and enlarge the examination items.Method The original TCL developing agent was changed and the TLC developing system of benzene-alcohol was replaced by the TLC developing system of chloroform-methanol.The examinations of moisture,ash and extract were revised and enlarged according to the method in the Appendix of Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (Edition 2005).Result The differentiation method of TCL for Heshouwu was revised to the TLG developing system of chloroform-methanol and a satisfactory result was obtained after two times of development.The limit for the moisture,total ash,acid-insoluble ash and extract made in this study wag approved by the unit of validation and verification.Conclusion The TLC developing system of chloroform-methanol has the characteristic of lower toxicity and can be used in the differentiation method of rlEL for Heshouwu.The relevant limit and examination of the moisture,total ash,acid-insoluble ash and extract are added for control the quality of Heshouwu totally.
