Abstract:
The general research situation of the therapeutic mechanism of natural drugs in the treatment of Alzheimers disease (AD) at home and abroad was summed up in this paper. Among many factors involved in the pathological process of AD the kernel factors include aggregation, oligomerization and fibrosis of β-amyloid protein. Different active compositions of natural drugs play roles in many aspects of AD pathological process showing different targets and mechanisms. To investigate the mechanisms of natural drugs and their extracts for treating AD in many ways, on the base of modern pathological research and at the levels of molecular pharmacology and molecular biology, is important to develop and apply the natural drug resources in the treatment of AD.
