Abstract: Female sex workers (FSW) are in a weak position in the process of sexual behavior and have a high risk of HIV infection. Promoting pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in this population can prevent HIV infection. This article reviews the cognition, willingness, influencing factors, and potential risk compensation of PrEP in FSW to provide a reference for expanding the use of PrEP in this population.
