Abstract:
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of olanzapine tablets combined with escitalopram tablets in the treatment of senile depression.Methods A total of 80 patients with senile depression were randomly divided into the control group and treatment group with 40 cases per group.Control group was given escitalopram 10 mg,qd and the dosage was added to 15-20 mg,qd within the first week.Treatment group was given olanzapine 2.5 mg,qd and the dosage was added to 5.0 mg,qd within the first week,on the basis of control group.Two groups were treated for 8 weeks.The clinical efficacy and adverse drug reactions were compared between two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rates in treatment and control groups were 100.00％ (40/40 cases) and 77.50％ (31/40 cases) with significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).The adverse drug reactions in two groups were headache,nausea,vomiting and fatigue,the incidences of adverse drug reactions in treatment and control group were 12.50％ and 15.00％ without significant difference (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Olanzapine tablets combined with escitalopram tablets have a definitive clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of senile depression.
