Abstract:
Objective To explore literature distribution and research of circulating tumor DNA in recent years using bibliometric method.Methods The literatures about circulating tumor DNA were searched from database of Web of Sciences.The searching results were analyzed using bibliometric method concerning the article numbers,countries/ districts,institutes,journal distribution,etc.Summary of the times cited and citing articles were also analyzed.Results A total of 708 circulating tumor DNA related literatures were obtained.Although the total number of documents was low,the annual number and citations increased significantly,and growing rate was fast.United States issued the largest number of publications.The published papers in J Clin Oncol was most.The average number of citations for all the publications was 11.53 times.The literatures about circulating tumor DNA for tumor diagnosis and prognosis had the more citations.Conclusion Now,the circulating tumor DNA research is novel and the hot spot.Relevant papers were published in Journals of high level,and the number of citations was higher.The circulating tumor DNA will play an important role in tumor diagnosis and prognosis.
