Abstract:
Objective To analyze the drug sensitivity of respiratory Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methods Drug sensitivity test of 481 isolated strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was performed with agar dilution method in vitro. The susceptibility , drug resistance and intermediary rate of strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and those insensitive to imipenem were determined according to the minimal inhibitory concentration ( MIC ) . Results Pseudomonas aeruginosa in respiratory had the lowest resistance rate to amikacin (12.06%), followed by imipenem with 13.93%resis-tance and had the highest resistance to sulfamethoxazole /trimethoprim ( SMZ/TMP) which was 99.79%.96 strains insensitive to imipenem had the lowest resistance to amikacin ( 16.67%) , but to SMZ/TMP they had highest resistance rate of 98.96%.Conclusion According to drug re-sistance status of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria in our hospital , the empirical treatment with imipenem , ciprofloxacin and other antimicrobial agents was recommended , and based on this , the combined use of amika-cin is expected to achieve better control effect .
