Effects of exercise therapy and traditional Chinese dietary intervention to pregnancy outcomes in patients with gestational diabetes

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of exercise therapy and traditional Chinese dietary intervention to pregnancy outcomes in patients with gestational diabetes.Methods One hundred thirty patients with gestational diabetes were equally divided into treatment group and control group based on the random number table , the control group were received conventional intervention that included low -carb diets and walking mo-tion, the treatment group were received exercise therapy and traditional Chinese dietary intervention , all interventions were continued to pregnant clildbirth, the pregnancy and newborn outcomes were observed.Results The amniotic fluid index , body weight increase during pregnancy , birth weight , fasting glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose in the treatment group were significantly lower than that of control group ( P<0.05).The cesarean section rates in the treatment and control group were 23.08%, and 49.23%, significantly difference ( P<0.05 ).The hypertensive disorders of pregnancy , prematurity , polyhydramnios , fetal distress , postpartum hemorrhage incidence rates in the treatment group were significantly lower than that of control group ( P<0.05 ).The neonatal asphyxia , neonatal hypoglycemia neonatal hyperbilirubinemia incidences in the treatment group were significantly lower than that in control group ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion The safe and effective exercise therapy and traditional Chinese dietary inter-vention can help to improve the effective use of glucose in pregnant women with gestational diabetes , improve pregnancy indicators and reduce the cesarean section , and give safety protection for maternal and child health.
