Abstract:
Objective To establish a high performance liquid chroma-tography ( HPLC ) method to determine taurine in human plasma. Methods Former derivatization method by DNFB pillar, with gradient elution of each component was adopted. The compounds were separated on a Kromasil C18 column, and mobile phase A: 0.05 mol? L-1 CH3COONa solution ( pH 6.5 ) , mobile phase B: acetonitrile -water (1∶1). The flow rate was 1 mL? min-1 , column temperature was 30 ℃, and the detection wavelength was 360 nm.Results The assay had the calibration range from 3.12 to 400.00μg? mL-1 ( r>0.999 9 ) , and the intra-day RSD and inter-day RSD were all lower than 5%. The lowest limit of quantification was 3.12 μg? mL-1 for taurine. Conclusion The method is simple, accurate, sensitive and specific for the determination of taurine in human plasma.
