Abstract:
Objective To summarize the clinical features and bacterial culture and drug sensitivity in patients with diabetes companied with pyo-genic hepatic abscess. Methods The medical records, bacterial culture and drug sensitivity results of the patients with diabetes companied with pyogenic hepatic abscess diagnosed were analyzed retrospectively. Results A total of 42 cases were recruited.Appear the clinical manifes-tations of chills, fever, abdominal pain, liver pain, et al.Thirsty-three cases had single abscess, 9 cases had multiple abscesses.Positive pathogenic bacteria culture were 36 cases including 22 cases of Klebsiella pneumoniae, 1 case of them produced extended-spectrum β-lactamases ( ESBLs);8 cases of Escherichia coli, 7cases of them produced ESBLs;4 cases of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and 2 cases of Enterococcus faecium.Forty cases were clinically improved or cured. Two cases were dead. Conclusion Klebsiella pneumoniae was the most common pathogen in patients with diabetes companied with pyogenic hepatic abscess, choosing antibiotics reasonably according to the distribution of pathogen susceptibility.
