- Abstract: Left ventricular thrombus (LVT) is a frequent complication in patients with acute large anterior myocardial infarction or dilated cardiomyopathy. The clinical importance of LVT lies in its potential for systemic embolization. We experienced a case of surgically treated LVT in a patient with acute myocarditis with embolic splenorenal infarction.
