Abstract:
Doctor-patient communication is not only a part of medical behavior, but also an important part of social communicative action.Starting from the perspective of the core category of communication action theory, namely the rationalization of communication behavior, this paper investigated the elements of rationalization in the doctor-patient communication behavior in the documentary Chinese Doctors. It was found that reasonable doctor-patient communication was based on the intersubjectivity between doctors and patients, with the medical and patient subjects engaging in equal interaction around illness, diagnosis and treatment, and other objects;doctor-patient speech should follow the requirements for communicative validity, which require authenticity, correctness, and sincerity as conditions;doctor-patient communication should take the ideal speech situation as a way to achieve free and rational dialogue, and ultimately should take understanding and consensus as orientation to build a harmonious doctor-patient communication relationship.
