Abstract: How to understand human nature is the core issue of human genetic enhancement ethics.If human genetic enhancement is reasonably applied,from the perspective of human natural attributes,it can enhance their immunity,thereby better resisting the invasion of diseases,making their bodies healthier,physically stronger,and more conducive to adapting to the natural environment.It can also enable them to have stronger memory and cognitive abilities.In terms of human social attributes,human genetic enhancement can enrich their social relationships,make social relationships more harmonious,and be conducive to free and comprehensive development of individuals.If human genetic enhancement is abused,it may create new species that are completely different from human or even hostile species,as well as lead to the confusion of human family ethical relationships and the alienation of human interaction relationships.Human nature has set the feasible limitations for the development of human genetic enhancement technology,and the direction of the development of human gene enhancement technology should be guided by the liberation of human nature.
